A windy day provided 'interesting' play in the Peter Cox tournament and a great day was enjoyed by all.
Despite wild and windy weather 15 hardy players turned out on a Sunday morning and in the true spirit of the Peter Cox tournament had a good deal of fun, even when brushing the puddles off the court to play the semis and finals after lunch! Huge gusts of wind made for hilarious play and interesting shots but in the end it was Mike Williams (who has become a regular name on the trophy) and Al Clark who took the prizes from deserving finalists Stella Hollis and Tim Toogood in a very close final (6-4)
