Dear Members,
As you are all aware, England is entering another lockdown in the early hours of Thursday morning for 4 weeks. The government rules say the following have to close:
• indoor and outdoor leisure facilities such as bowling alleys, leisure centres and gyms, sports facilities including swimming pools, golf courses and driving ranges, dance studios, stables and riding centres, soft play facilities, climbing walls and climbing centres, archery and shooting ranges, water and theme parks,
Tennis courts weren’t specifically mentioned, but despite their objections, the LTA have confirmed that all outdoor tennis courts have to close as well.
The club will be open as normal until Wednesday evening, but unfortunately we have to close the clubhouse and all the indoor and outdoor courts from Thursday morning until otherwise directed by the Government, which is currently planned to be the 2nd December.
We will keep you informed of any changes.
