As you are probably aware, after many years of service to DTSC both as an active club member and much-loved coach, Sarah Skidmore will be officially relinquishing her duties as Head Tennis Coach on 31st July 2019. Sarah’s successful development of the coaching programme at DTSC has drawn on the support of an extremely capable team who share her coaching ethos. Michael Willemse has been a key member of this team for several years and it is with great pleasure that we are announcing his appointment as the new Head Tennis Coach at DTSC with effect from 1st August 2019.
Michael is a talented coach who recently achieved LTA Level 3 accreditation. Welcoming the challenge of further developing the coaching programme at DTSC, Michael is in the process of finalising his coaching team which will include Joe Chambers (LTA Level 2) in an expanded role and Kevin Willemse (LTA Level 3) in his present mentoring role. An additional coach is also currently being recruited and various assistants will continue to be involved in the junior coaching programme.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sarah for everything she has done over the years to help make DTSC a great club and wish her well in her retirement. We would also like to wish Michael every success as he takes the DTSC coaching programme forward.
