Dorchester’s tennis teams need congratulating following a successful summer league season. Not only did the Men’s 1st team gain promotion in the Aegon National Club League to the National division by winning the Dorset League and then their play-off match against a tough team from Bristol, they then went on to win the Dorset League doubles title as well. The Tennis and Squash courts were filled all day long at the Club's Open day on Sunday 30 June. It's estimated that over a hundred adults and kids turned up to have a go at one or all of the sports on offer. 61 registration forms were filled out and one lucky winner gained a free membership for the rest of the year. There were lots of interested visitors with a couple of people joining on the day and hopefully a few more deciding to follow suit in the next few weeks. [: 2nd Jul 2013 13:30:00]
