DTSC is a friendly and sociable club where all ages and abilities are catered for. The club has been in existence since 1949 and is a members run club. Whether you are looking for team or social play, or wanting to brush up your skills with some coaching, Dorchester Tennis & Squash Club is for you.
The Club has 3 all weather floodlit Advantage Clay artificial clay tennis courts, and 3 squash courts, one of which has a glass back, and there is also a thriving racketball community. There is a clubhouse which overlooks the courts, with bar, changing rooms and showers. Courts can be booked online and are available to use at any time of day apart from set club times. Social events are organised for the members throughout the year.
All members are allocated a “fob” on joining which allows them access to the club, courts and computerised booking system.

Tennis at DTSC is for players of all ages and abilities. As well as Club sessions and informal member’s social play, tournaments and internal leagues are run throughout the year. An active and thriving Coaching Programme is available for juniors and adults alike which underpins an evolving outreach programme to local schools. The Club competes successfully throughout the summer and winter in both the Dorset League and Yeovil & District League with teams at all levels from minis to seniors. There are 7 mini/junior teams and 14 adult teams throughout the year across both Leagues.
As well as social play, Internal Leagues are run continuously throughout the year for players of all abilities, along with a Club Knockout Tournament and a Handicap Knockout Tournament. The Club is represented in the Dorset County Leagues as we have 4 Men’s Squash Teams and 3 Racketball Teams.

Membership Survey Results 2023 Tennis Court Shoe Policy
In a bid to reduce our organisation’s carbon footprint we are installing 36kW Solar Panels on the roof over Squash Courts 1 & 2 with 23.5kWh battery storage. We will also be installing LED floodlights on the tennis courts which will use 4kWh less electricity than our existing lights. Our project has been part funded by Low Carbon Dorset as part of the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund and will save over 8.39 tonnes of CO2 each year.
